Class Objectives:
1. Read new poems and receive objective, constructive feedback from other queer poets and writers.
2. Create a safe space for poets to interact, network, and share.
3. Learn how to give and receive helpful feedback to other poets.
What We’ll Do: In this workshop, participants will get to read and respond to poems that praise kink for the liberation practice that it is! Whether you’re newer to the poetry game, or a seasoned writer, this workshop will provide an abundance of prompts and entryways into writing about honoring our bodily pleasures and joys.
Location: Afternoons Studio 2811 N 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007
Parking at the back of the building available - do not park on street, if lot is full please park across the street at Duke’s Photography.
Bio: Ayling Zulema Dominguez is a poet, mixed media artist, and youth arts educator with roots in Puebla, México (Nahua) and República Dominicana. Grounded in a poetics of anticolonialism, their art and writing ask who we are at our most free, and explore the subversions and imaginings needed in order to arrive there.
